Red

Meet Red.

A 4-year-old Ridgeback with a noble face and quiet eyes.
We found him two years ago after a terrible car accident.

Both of his front legs were broken.
He was in shock, lying by the road, too weak to move — but still holding on.

We rushed him to the clinic. One leg, we were able to save.
The other… was too far gone. It never fully healed, and now it barely supports him.

But Red never gave up.

He learned how to walk again, slowly and with great care. He’s smart, strong, and full of quiet dignity.

But there’s something in his eyes that never changed.
A sadness. A question. A longing.

He’s been with us for two years now — waiting.

While the others bark and play, Red watches from the side. He’s gentle, kind, and patient.
And every time someone walks past, his eyes seem to ask:

“Is it you? Am I going home today?”

He’s still waiting for a person to call his own.
Someone who will see past his limp… and into his heart.
